Comments Thread For: Hearn Expects Purse Bid Battle For Lomachenko-Crolla Rights

On Saturday night, former world champion Anthony "Million Dollar" Crolla secured a unanimous decision victory over Indonesia's Daud Yordan in a co-featured attraction from the Manchester Arena in Manchester, United Kingdom. Crolla won the fight on scorecards of 116-112, 116-112 and 116-112 to clinch a World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight world title eliminator, after an excellent demonstration of experience, power, and physical conditioning in the face of a difficult opponent in Yordan.

Hearn basically admitted this is a cash grab for Crolla and he stands no chance. I thought he looked garbage against Daud, Loma will ruin him.

Heck, he's deserved his shot even though he's got a cat in hell's chance.

It would be better for Loma that Hearn wins so Loma can also headline a show in the UK. After Crolla he will come again to fight Campbell. Loma might have 2 fights in the UK next year.

For Hearn, it's not about Crolla's chances against Loma but having Loma on DAZN.

DAZN money is for the US shows, not UK.

Loma is 32 and legacy waiting. after Pedraza a rematch with Linares and then a fight with either Gervonta or Garcia.

I thought he boxed well. He’s not dynamic fighter. There’s no change of gears. Can only really punch with the left hook to the body at the top level relatively speaking

Not hard to see Crolla as a man who is and has maximised his talent.

                  Nice high guard defence,
throws bunches in punches and has excellent fitness.

Will be great to see Loma though.

But yeah it’s a genuine 100:0 match up.

Gervonta is 130 and won't go to 135 at least until Loma is there.
