Is it better to lose early in pro career or later?

The later you lose the more money you make cuz that undefeated record always adds a lil more money to your value as a fighter. Generally I don't think losing early in your career helps out the average person at all. Usually any halfway decent regional prospect or better caliber guy is getting 10-20 setup fights early so if he loses one its not likely to tell him he needs to improve so much as prove he's not THAT f#cking good.

Granted there are stories of plenty of HOF or just high level boxers who've lost early, but generally losing early means you aren't THAT good to start with.

It’s difficult to take Tyson Fury’s word in. He obviously has a reason for saying it. Does he think Wilder doesn’t want to risk anything by fighting bums for 37/38 fights? Who knows what he trying to get at.
