Middleweight Rob Brant (24-1, 16 KOs), who pulled an upset with a one-sided decision over Japanese star Ryota Murata to win a secondary world title on Oct. 20 in Las Vegas, fought that mandatory bout on ESPN+ after Brant promoter Greg Cohen made a deal... https://t.co/lszKzRma5x

Him not taking a DAZN deal is as good as ducking to me...that's where all the middleweights are along with all the big money fights and belts.
At least Charlo has something going for him and deep pockets behind PBC who can win a purse bid against anybody...I doubt Top Rank can or is even willing to do that for him.Last edited by lolpz; 11-12-2018, 12:27 AM.Comment

I think it is a good move staying with Top Rank particularly ESPN/ESPN+ he is very marketable, Very humble and a very well spoken guy. ZERO worries about these different Promotions or what ever, keeping fights from happening and trying to Freeze people out, that won't be sustainable at all. If the fans want to see certain fights then the pressure will be on all of these organizations to deliver or run the risk of losing viewers or in DAZN case lose Subscribers. So the Pressure I think is on all, Networks and Apps are not giving them all this money not to delivery qualityComment

So all 160 should sign with DAZN is that what you're saying? Makes no sense.Him not taking a DAZN deal is as good as ducking to me...that's where all the middleweights are along with all the big money fights and belts.

I said him being in the position he's in, it would make more sense for him to go with DAZN becquse they have more money and more big money fights in general.
That's the financial standpoint. Which leads to my next point, him taking what is probably less money to go with Top Rank, is pretty much ducking the whole division.
I used Charlo to give an example of a guy who has a legitimate excuse to not go with DAZN - PBC has deep pockets and he is becoming a star under them. PBC also has the funds to win a Purse bid as he is Interin WBC champ. As with Brant, Top Rank can and probably will be outbid by the promoter of any fighter from DAZN or PBC who challenges for his belt.
Tl;dr - with the position Brant is in, I think it makes more sense for him to sign with DAZN.Comment
