That is always hard on southpaw. You must also realize boxers work on diferent ways and new things depending on who they fight. And also he takes it extremely well. Sometimes when a boxer tests power and takes it easy theyll just deal with it to get what they want done. Anyway dont assume he cant take it because its not been shown to affect him. Dont jump to conclusions and dont forget Wilder has a looping right that hurts ppl. AJ is a robot and slow. Usyk very smart and athletic. Styles really do make fights Small things matter. Too many ppl dont understand mentality the small things that happen in the ring. And then jump to silly conclusions

Let's hope we get to find out - in both cases ideally.

Joshua gave advise to Bellew on that exact approach. It also is Joshua's set up hurt punch as he isa counter puncher ,against a southpaw that could prove deadly. I don't think Usyk being a southpaw would offer much in terms of winning against Joshua, look at all the counter right hands he ate last night.

If you think Bellew was slow...Joshua must look like he takes breaks midway through the delivery and Wilder telegraphs his so much he might as well give it a name anime style and announce it.

The ONLY reason Usyk is in trouble is just sheer size/strength difference. Skill wise it’s not even a contest. He’s just out manned/gunned, not out skilled. Joshua is pretty good technically especially considering the size and Wilder is real long and has devastating power...but his skills are sorely lacking.

Usyk is too small but he’s just too good at his current div to be challenged

Usyk gets hit too much, I've said it on repeat for a while now. But, and this is a big BUT, he is resilient, smart and can set fighters up. I think he loses to AJ because of the lack of power and size but he is too good for Wilder, maybe even too good for fat fury.

Ideally, Usyk needs to get in there with Povetkin, Whye and Chisora s owe can gauge where he is at.

So what. Just because Bellew landed right hands doesn't mean others will land that punch. Bellew never hurt him with the right that I could notice. Usyk has had numerous fights now against other excellent champions and he has NOT shown to be a sucker for straight right counters. Quite the opposite he is known to be a boxer who is very hard to hit flush with either hand. I don't think he has ever been knocked down as an amateur or a pro. If he is so vulnerable to right hand counters why haven't one of the heavy hitters he has already fought knocked him down or out? Champions like GGG who want to stay at their best weight get grief on here for not daring to be great and move up. Usyk wants to move up and he is already getting grief in advance for being so foolish as to dare to move up. If AJ or Wilder can KO Usyk with a straight right then so be it. Usyk deserves a chance to fight them in the ring and see if he can beat them or not.

You know wilders right is coming but eventually it finds a home. Wilder is fast and his reach is massive.
Its hard to be defensively responsible as a southpaw and still have offense against a bigger, more athletic boxer with a ko right hand for 12 rounds. Usyk would have to fight in the inside to score pts and wilder could tag him coming in with rights and uppercuts.
And let's not forget the jab if usyk fights fury. Fury would jab his face off.
