Honestly it seems like Bellew had some brain damage at the end lol during the interview he kept saying the same shi t over and over again and calling over Usyk, and when they interviewed Hearn he looked like he was about to cry at one point.
Concussion, been there myself. Sometimes you can recall everything but not in the right order, like the beating you just took will feel like a memory from earlier in the day and other memories will move to the front. It is a weird feeling. I can only imagine what it's like after taking big shots from a professional boxer.

It was a reaction to Bellew being dropped and could be a DQ but that's down to the refs discretion. In fact an official judge reacted the same sort of way when Pacquiao got KOd by Marquez - he made a move for a moment as if he was trying to help him up.

        Classic signs of concussion:

        Symptoms

The signs and symptoms of a concussion can be subtle and may not show up immediately. Symptoms can last for days, weeks or even longer.

Common symptoms after a concussive traumatic brain injury are headache, loss of memory (amnesia) and confusion. The amnesia usually involves forgetting the event that caused the concussion.

Signs and symptoms of a concussion may include:

Headache or a feeling of pressure in the head
        Temporary loss of consciousness
Confusion or feeling as if in a fog
        Amnesia surrounding the traumatic event
        Dizziness or "seeing stars"
        Ringing in the ears
        Nausea
        Vomiting
        Slurred speech
        Delayed response to questions
        Appearing dazed
        Fatigue
It presents a lot like being drunk, actually, which is one of the reasons medical staff hate getting drunks with head injuries.

Eddie has a good relationship with some of his fighters. He gets caught up in the moment when they are hurt. He reacts like a relative than a promoter. Actually nice to see a promoter concern about his fighters welfare. Or genuinely excited for his fighters when they win. You would think he was the one who just beat Shawn Porter if you watch the Brook/Porter ring scorecard announcement.

            This^^^^^^^

Bellew even said he didn't remember or see what shot he got hit with, just the fight being over. He took a couple decent lefts before that final one put him out

He didn't even know if he'd been TKO'd standing or had gone down and was counted out, yet some fans are still calling it a premature stoppage. Crazy.

and yeah I rewatched that sequence quite a few times, he took 4 or 5 left hands and couldn't do anything about it. He gassed unfortunately and couldn't keep his hands up, but fair play to him making a go of it, I really think he did about the best he could.

yeah, I've had a few concussions in my life and bounced back the next day. last one I had was a car accident, and I had PCS for about six weeks after. I remember the next day just sitting in my bed crying and not knowing why haha.

I think he may even have been concussed earlier in the fight... in between 5 and 6 I think or maybe 6 and 7 his eyes looked glassy and he was kinda slumped on his stool, just staring into space barely acknowledging his corner. In the end a combination of fatigue and being stunned just left him wide open. TBH though I think the dude did the best he could have.

Fans call everything a premature stoppage. Blows my mind. I thought Bellew was OUT and didn't even know why the ref was counting. Watched it the second time, and Bellew is on his hands and knees staring into outer space at 8. In what world is that a premature stoppage?

Lotta head trauma in my younger days... usually (though not always) drunk or on something (or both). I was the assh0le wasting public resources and getting reprimanded by medical staff as they stitched me up... again, or warned me of the dangers of injuring your head whilst fucked up. Guess I remembered some of it at least. For a good few years I was on first name terms with the A&E (that's ER to our transatlantic brethren) staff at the three nearest Hospitals.
