The former super bantamweight and featherweight champion beat up Cristian Mino throughout their 10-round fight and won a unanimous decision at Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo in Miami. Puerto Rico's Lopez (36-6, 32 KOs) knocked down Argentina's Mino (19-3, 17 KOs) four times twice in the third round, once in the fourth and once in the sixth.

If Gamboa wins it will be a fight that should’ve been made in 2009. They delayed it as Rogers Mtagwa had the night of his life. Then each guy eventually got stopped and it was never made.

Oddly, sometimes when two guys are well past it, you get a great fight anyway.
