usyk is a top 3 p4p fighter based off getting all the belts
    & being UNDISPUTED
but the flipside is the cruiserweight div has historically been one of the weakest divisions in boxing
& also WHO did he beat and what have they done and when did he beat them
with that being said it took him a while to get bellew .
in the 4th round he changed how he threw that left hand since bellew was ducking off to his own right after he slipped usyks skraight left hand usyk began to LOOP that left hand SLOWING down the pace of the left and began to land on bellew who seemed gassed out by the 5th round(age was catching up to him) and began to paint bellew and usyks JAB was one of the shots which was controlling the fight i think he busted bellews nose with that JAB if im not mistaken but since this is a unknown div and rather so so comp in it his campaign at heavyweight will tell the real story i think ggg is better than usyk with his STYLE & ESP cuttin off the ring and i think ggg JAB is one of the best jabs in boxing top 7 jabs in boxing to me but usyk STYLE to me uses alot unnecessary energy. i think he will have a hard time with heavyweight but the boxing media sees a "great white hope" scenario so like ALWAYS they'll push that like most of these posters do but with a thin veil

Its too much hype and too much excitement with these guys and it always ends badly.

Just look at the strengths and ignore the weaknesses. Its actually worse with Usyk as he has fairly pronounced flaws that his fans just totally write off as a non issue.

Im just going to say it now because the backlash is always pretty bad, and you guys are setting him up for a big fall at heavyweight.
      It's time to stop posting.

Usyk and Kovalev are the same in the same way that Bradley and Broner are the same fighter.

Usyk already has far superior resume than Kovalev, he actually defeated top undefeated guys in their prime, not ancient B-Hop and beaten super middleweight Pascal. NAS is the right comparison here, he was hyped by British fans and lost bad
Who are these top undefeated in their primes? Were they p4p or just the top in a weak division?

I like Usyk but some people have him p4p #1 already after 15/16 fights? He just fought Tony bellew and that was the biggest fight at cw in 2 years at least. It says a lot about the division....

Glowacki, Gassiev and Briedis - they were prime, unbeaten and champs. For example, somebody like Golovkin never had anybody as good as any of these three names in his resume.

Weak division? Well, a lot of people considered CW to be one of the most stacked divisions before WBSS, it's a fact, not a wishful thinking.

Were they supposed to be p4p'ers? Why? It's not like there's 3-5 p4p'ers in each division. 130 doesn't have any p4p fighters. 140 doesn't have any p4p fighters the division where Crawford unified his belts yet we still value him for that accomplishment. 175 doesn't have any p4p'ers either yet it's considered one of the deepest divisions. A weight class is lucky if there's 2 p4p fighters in it, that's when big fights like Garcia/Loma or Bud/Spence starts being discusssed. Amount of intriguing matchups between top names determines deep divisions, and CW had a lot of that before the tournament - Dorticos, Gassiev, Briedis, even Glowacki would be live dogs against anybody

Like I've said an argument can be made for Usyk, Crawford, Loma and Canelo for being #1 p4p. It depends on what you like, apples or oranges. Canelo got the biggest name in the resume, Crawford was the first who collected all belts in the division and moved up, Usyk did the same, never moved up but his division was more competitive, Lomachenko has his own arguments for that spot, so I don't see nothing wrong if boxing fans thinks any of these 4 names deserves that spot, it only depends on what you like

Usyk/Bellew doesn't say anything about quality of CW division. It only says that Bellew is way more promoted and popular than other names in the division which doesn't make him better than them. The division that never was popular or attractive for UK and especially US markets, historically. It doesn't mean it's bad. In terms of competition, Briedis/Usyk was way more interesting than Bellew and the fact that Briedis gave Usyk a way tougher fight proves that.

Very different fighters. I cannot see many parallels between the two at all. Completly different styles, mindsets, personalities... I cannot imagine Usyk having issues with votka, etc..

They both seemed willing to fight anyone, at least.

People seem to forget that Kovalev was an absolute beast in his prime. Like 99.99% of other fighters he eventually lost, extremely controversially to a guy regarded by many as the best boxer on the planet. Since then things have gone to ish, for him, sure, but that doesn't negate what he did achieve.

Now at 35 his best days are clearly behind him, but he his championship run was, at the time, a breath of fresh air, both in it's ferocity and in the willingness he seemed to show to fight whoever was the best available at the time.

When did Kovalev become a yardstick of failure ffs?
