Beating Bellew is the Cherry on top of an amazing run in cruiserweight.

I have no problem at all with Usyk being FOTY. He gets my vote.

Minor fights like this one against Bellew might not do much to push him up the rankings for FOTY, but I reckon they can be used as tie breakers.

You know, like when two sporting teams finish a season with the same number of wins and losses, so they look to the points for/against ratio to see who ends up ranked higher.

So if a couple of fighters have the same amount and outcomes with major fights, and one of them has also taken care of business in some minor fights while everyone else was less active? The one with the minor victories would be the overall winner.

                  He's definitely a leading candidate.

Let's see how Wilder and Canelo close out... Wilder and Canelo both beat boogeymen.

Depending on if Wilder smashes Fury convincingly, he'll be in the discussion.
