is there a cruiserweight division in the amateurs?

I was just thinking about this, is there a cruiserweight divsion in the amateurs?? and if not, what happens if a person who happens to be a natural cruiser goes down to lightheavy?? wouldn't he end up feeling drained?

In the amateurs, the heavyweight division ranges from 178 to 201 lbs, which is roughly what would be called the cruiserweight division in the pros. So the answer to your question is yes, but it is called the heavyweight division in the amateurs, and in the amateurs, 201 lbs or greater is the superheavyweight division.
