Why the double standard against Usyk?

Floyd has lost the beginning of many fights (judah, mosley, castillo, maidana, hell even mcgregor) and he adapted and then he gets praised for his greatness .

Usyk just did the same thing he adapted and scored a vicious KO so tell me why is the same not applied to Usyk???? Hmmmmm...

Credit to Usyk for making adjustments. He certainly did that.

But you've rarely seen Floyd lose clear rounds, and lots of them, like he did to Bellew tonight.

This is a guy who is KNOWN to take early rounds off and he gets criticism for losing early rounds. Where's the logic.

People are nitpicking as usual. There are a lot of morons in this forum who think that if you lose a few rounds that means you are exposed. Go back and read the threads on this site before Floyd fought Maidana and I bet you have a lot of fanboys saying "Maidana has no chance", "Maidana is easy work" "Floyd will school him 12-0". How many times do we have to say it STYLES MAKE FIGHTS!!!

I compare Usyk more to Crawford than Mayweather. But the point still stands, you can get rounds off of them early on, but can you get rounds off of them after the 6th round? Once they get in gear and make their adjustments, they are absolute hell to deal with. Usyk was starting to take over and it was going to ugly in there. Hunter won three early rounds off of Usyk as hell before getting stopped. Dulorme won three early rounds off Crawford, Benavidez won two or three, and then obviously Gamboa won three or four himself...But after the 6th round? Complete beat downs.

Usyk is THAT dude, one of the best P4P fighters no doubt. Clinched FOTY today.

He did v Judah and Maidana.

but so what? it happens, that's boxing. sometimes it takes a few rounds to get to grips with a guy for different reasons.

Maidana was nowhere near Floyd's but it took Floyd 5 rounds to make it show, just like it made Usyk 3-4 rounds tonight to start making it show.

You can't compare 2 fighters in completely different situations, Floyd moved up multiple divisions, Usyk has fought in 1 division.

Floyd fought P4P fighters, the closest Usyk hasn't fought a single guy on the list.

HW is massive, massive, jump from cruiser.

I keep repeating myself, but it's because no one wants to believe Bellew is any good...I knew he was.
I also didnt think Usyk was as great as everyone was saying, to me more like a 6-10 in the p4p list, so overall I'm pretty impressed with Usyk and not disappointed by the fight.

People forget that Hatton stepped on the gas and gave Floyd a lot of trouble, but all we remember is him looking ****** as he got finished. Just because a guy goes balls out doesn't mean the other guy is faulty. When did Bellew ever have Usyk in danger? Never.
