Wasn’t Brandon Adams in one of the other contender tournaments?

Not Contender, but ESPN's Boxcino tournament.

Both his losses are in the finals of that tournament actually. He lost to Willie Monroe in the finals of the MW tournament in 2014 & he lost to John Thompson (who was also in this tournament) in the finals of the JMW tournament in 2015.

              Weak bracket imo.

Road to the finals for each guy:

              Adams
              1st Rd: KO4 Tyrone Brunson, 26-6-2
              QtrFinals: W5 Ievgen Khytrov, 17-1
              SemiFinals: W5 Eric Walker, 17-1

              Mosley Jr
              1st Rd: KO5 Devaun Lee, 10-3-1
              QtrFinals: W5 Daniel Valdivia, 14-3
(Daniel had lost in the 1st rd, but got brought back due to an injury to another fighter)
              SemiFinals: Michael Moore, 17-1

I had heard of all of Adams' opponents pre-Contender. I wasn't aware of any of Mosley Jr's opponents prior to Contender.

And yea John Jackson was in it. He got beat in the 1st rd by Eric Walker.

Is that legit? Hadn't heard that.

On the show they played it like he was unfocused on fighting cuz they showed him painting & sh^t all the time lmfao. But you never know how these reality shows are spinning sh^t just to have some sorta narrative for each person on the show.

And sh^t he lost to Eric Walker & to me Eric is a real one anyway so no shame to lose to him. Eric was my sleeper pick to win this tournament. Ievgen was my favorite with John #2 for me. So all my mfers I thought was gonna win took L's lol.

I knew a guy who helped as a sparring partner on the show . He said from the beginning it was set up for Mosley Jr. and Adams to be in the finals .
Adams because he was in the other tournaments and did well . And Mosley for the Name recognition .

The fighters picked their own brackets. Or they are all really good actors.

Who's the guy you know who was a sparring partner?
