⛔️ Told by the WBC that they are placing Canelo Alvarez’s middleweight title mandatory situation on hold. They previously ordered Gennady Golovkin v Jermall Charlo, but Charlo has since arranged a fight with Willie Monroe for December 22nd. It will be reassessed in January.

Obviously! This tweet is worded as if Charlo picked Monroe over GGG that is LIES! Abel and Loeffler did make it clear that GGG is not returning this year so Charlo took another fight vs a guy the WBC has rated #5 (Monroe) for some strange reason
Not only that but Loeffler has made it official that GGG is not fighting Charlo next. So basically we will be stuck with Jermall Charlo vs Martin Murray (If Murray even takes the fight which is not a given) because of the WBC
It is all deflection and protecting from having to Order Canelo to fight Charlo and run the risk of getting on Canelo bad side again. They're going to drag this one for as long as they can so that they don't have to force Canelo to do anything just like they did with Mayweather

Sick and tired of these Charlo sisters.
They're not even making any effort to step up their game.
They are backed by PBC and Showtime.
They're supposed to be the ones sending offers to Jacobs and Golovkin,
who are now free agents as a result of HBO quitting boxing.
Forget Canelo. He'll be fighting fellow GBP Lemieux next.Comment

Why the hell should either GGG or Canelo fight Jermall now? He is a low dollar fight and he has never defeated a top middleweight. Look at who the guy who claims everybody is afraid of him is fighting. A guy with no punch that GGG crushed so easily and Saunders also easily beat. Lemieux or Murray would have been better opponents. Let the big bragging lion beat Jacobs, Andrade, Saunders or Brant and then demand a GGG or Canelo fight he really deserves. So far Jermall has been big talk and small action.Comment

Suliaman knows whats up. The champ can do whatever he wants. He doesn't need any bull**** sanctioning body telling him who to fight. The WBC remembers what happened the last time they tried to force a mandatory on Canelo.Comment

I want to see them ALL fight. Jermall was the Champion at 154 chasing Nelo & is now the mandatory for Nelo's wbc belt at 160 so Jermall doesn't have to do anything but get his shot. You know these dudes are afraid of Mall. Jacobs runnin' his mouth but I bet he takes the other road that doesn't have Jermall on it. Andrade ducked his brother at 154. All these dudes DUCKIN' the Charlos for REAL.Comment

If Team GGG says they aren’t up for the eliminator against Charlo then remove them from the ranking and let Charlo fight the next highest ranked person. Then the winner gets their shot at Canelo or whoever the champ is at the time.Comment

This will always be the case when a boxer turns into a superstar.
It's like a parent raising a kid that becomes wealthy and is getting older and more independent. You can try and give that kid orders, but he's going to ultimately do what he wants.
These belts have leverage when a boxer isn't a superstar.
Floyd and Canelo are in the superstar category. You can't demand anything. They won't care and just drop your belt.
In the end, they can only hope the superstar keeps the belt around his waist for the photos after a victory lolComment
