only from the uninformed and misinformed. wards offer was not legit and was contingent on ggg preemptively delaying his fight against cotto/canelo in a 2 fight deal. it was great PR for ward but nothing more. ward had the chance to fight ggg when both were available but for some reason made that offer and needed more tune ups oh well

        Ggg 168

GGG is not going to 168. Nobody said anything about GGG at 168. This is complete nonsense. He'll probably fight Rob Brant in a one off on ESPN and joing DAZN for a Canelo rematch. He may wait until Canelo - Fielding and try to secure the Canelo rematch. Either way there is no indication of GGG moving to 168.

gtfoh. ggg didnt fight canelo for another 2 years. he could have easily moved up and became a urban legend if he would have beat ward.

and ward was coming off of a 2 year layoff, so ggg may have pulled off a win.

now 160 loaded and he thinking about moving up? nah 160 or bust.

I think 160 has been getting more difficult to make so fair play to him if he thinks 168 might suit him better. Smith is a tall order though, no pun intended

It's not the worst move he could make, (potentially) win the real title at 168 and then after Canelo wins the fake title easily, take him on in a super middleweight "unification fight". If I were Golovkin I wouldn't want to take on Canelo at 168 he was already ****ing him up at 160.

I think GGG won the first fight, the second one was close, could have gone either way, but ultimately GGG took more damage from Canelo's power punches, it's a good money fight but I would not want to do it if I were him.

GGG wins this fight fairly easily. Smith dosen't have a quarter of the skills that canelo does. He's right there in front of you to be hit. Great style match up for ggg. Won't be surprised if smith passes on the fight.

Yeah, Smith doesn't have the quickness and footwork to avoid GGG's hammer, GGG would have some success getting him in the ropes.

That being said, Smith has himself a big punch and a long reach.

                  Interesting fight.

Smith is too damn big, GGG couldn't handle his size and strength
