i think the weight is an issue with morales, i honestly think he's stuck between 130-135. at 135 the guys are too big for him and for 130 it's a real strain on morales to make the weight.

this last fight manny had was a good solid workout, larios came to fight and wasn't laying down for nothing. i think it's exactly what manny needed before fighting morales again, who i think is going to come with the fire this time around.

but in this last fight of manny's with larios i think that manny was a bit distracted and i think that he was working on some stuff in the ring getting him prepared for morales.

against morales in his last fight, manny had a good body attack and used his right hook. aginst larios he didn't use those weapons like he did against erik.
but manny did have something against larios that i haven't seen him do in other fights.
manny's foot work was 10 times better and he was using his head more, although he was head hunting, he was more focused on being slick this time out.
the whole dipping to the right then firing off the straight left a la hopkins with his lead right. manny never used that in any of his fights, and that was working all night long against larios.
he'd thorw that and dip off and under larios to the right side getting out the way.
and manny was moving left and right verses straight in and out, he was creating angles which was few and far between in his other fights.
his balance and footwork was like i said was ten times better in this fight verses his other fights where he falls forward after throwing punches.
i think manny was gearing up physically and mentally for morales, fine tuning other parts of his arsenal to have to complete package for a well prepared morales.

i'm going to say manny wins by UD against morales in the rubber match.

Good observation on the Pac/Larrios fight.

The real intention of that tune up fight is to test out all the improvements that Roach has been giving to Pac. And that tune up fight did accomplished it's purpose.

But on the Morales RUBBER MATCH don't expect it to go full distance. Pacman won't let that happen. Larrios remained standing up to the last round because Pac didn't really pushed for a K.O. He was holding back his attack.

His body can't make 130-lbs. anymore. If you know anything about physical fitness, 11 months of inactivity (that includes say 3 months of training to lose weight) won't help him. It's like Roberto Duran "training" to lose 30-lbs. of fat & muscle off his body after the 1st SRL fight.

Morales is a great fighter, a warrior, very skilled, a living legend; but his body is already battle worn and aging.

What could possibly make you think that? Looking at there last four fights Barrera is 4-0 with wins over Morales and Rocky Juarez while Morales is 1-3 getting embarressed by Raheem and KO'ed by Pacman.

              thanks.....

normally i would say/or go with pac ko'ing morales this time around. but i think that morales is going to be more prepared and he is going to be more focused on going the full 12 rounds. kind of like jones-tarver 3. it's a big deal to not get ko'd again by manny, and i think that is where a lot of morales' focus is going to be, besides trying to win, but in the later rounds i think it's going to be more survival on eriks part.

              but thats just me.........

IMHO, as i have said before too, if erik is able to train like the first time out, there will be no KO/TKO... He has proved time and time again that his chin is solid, so I am not counting him out. But the thing is he won't be able to keep up with the pace of pacman with his new found best friend, his right hand... i hope manny starts fighting early though and not pull off what he did in the larios fight... he's done entertaining his countrymen in his turf, its time to make erik retire

Im the same way!I just refuse to beleive that Morales is done just yet.He had the gameplan to beat Pacquiao once before,I think that he can do it again.I look forward to it.
