As I predicted, it was all for publicity. You guys are all talking about it so it worked out beautifully for Floyd.
Did Floyd duck the Japanese fighter?

I do buy his story but more importantly, who gives a **** about this fighter? Mayweather has been retired for a while now, he's not "ducking" anyone, he's opting to continue retirement.Comment

I know it tightens your ******** to think Floyd may have benefitted from this but he did. Deal with it.
His name is a product and as long as people are talking about him, that product stays fresh and sellable.
I don't even really like the guy but I respect that he's THE master of self-promotion.
I didn't know the other guy's name (even though I'm a long-time MMA enthusiast) and will be unlikely to remember it. But, I'm sure this launched him into relevance.Last edited by Redd Foxx; 11-07-2018, 05:23 PM.Comment

Most people (myself included) didn't even know who this Japanese kid was.
Now his name is being shown by sports media all over the globe.
And to make things even better for him, Floyd just very publicly ducked this kid.
The only one who gained from this is the kid.
Floyd got made to look broke and foolish.
Then scared.

I can't vote. I think Floyd wanted to box only and Rezin had other ideas. The fight shouldn't have been announced though if it wasn't finalized.
Come to think of it, it may have just been a ploy to help Tenshin gain popularity and get his name out there.Comment

You already contributed to Floyd's cause by talking about him on this and your other alts. He owns your emotions.
