DAZN CEO confirmed the deal was global rights and they could sell to any country on or show within their own app as they wished.

If your going to pay 365 mil you ain’t going to let him go sell for even more though are you!

One thing to go with DAZN in the US where American HBO PPV was the standard process. Other is to do that in Mexico and alienate the Mexican tv giants. Mexican networks will always get first dibs I would guess.
      Maybe idk about all that.

I'm just sure DAZN will for sure offer him a deal for his Mexico TV rights...cuz well why wouldn't they? It'd be ****** not to offer him a deal. If he turns it down fair play to him.

When did he say about a delay, when he signed with DAZN? Sounds like a foresight into his fights being on free tv on some kind of a delay.

the delay has always been there for live fights on main events, since the tv has to put ads in between rounds, so instead of the usual 1 minute in between, you get 2 minutes of ads, so even if the fight starts at the same time it will end 12 minutes later if it goes to 12 rounds, its always been like that for big fights where they depend on sponsors to pay for it...

The advertising is crazy in Mexico the announcer instead of calling the fights they have them selling Chevy trucks motor oil chips and college courses during the rounds with big pop ups all over the screen

Not a bad idea. In the end, fans get it for free, just with ads. Decent trade off.

i cant complain, if im in mexico for the weekend (which i am most weekends) i get to watch it for free , an extra minute in between rounds it really isnt as bad, it gives you time to go grab another beer or take a piss, etc... but there is also the chance of watching thru cable tv with only one minute of ads...

Ah, so Canelo has a deal with a Mexican cable TV aswell, could DAZN replace that? With the free tv deal remaining. Wouldnt be as lucrative as 100% rights to his fights though.

Whats Canelo's tv deal in Mexico? Could this be why there's talk of a homecoming fight for him next year?
                      Brazil is in Latin America.
