Garcia is turning into a big duck after refusing to fight Loma.

Yeah, and mismatches for PPVs are still sell-able with a strong A-side fighter. In this case can that really be said? No, so yeah they will have a hard time cracking 200k. I bet they do good in terms of attendance numbers, but PPV buys are a totally different story.

We may not like all of the competitive aspects of this fight, but its commercial appeal is legitimate. Both will make $5M or so. Which is what's motivating Mikey here.

He knows with this fight he moves to bigger money. He'll fight Loma and maybe even Manny, then retire or grab somebody like Josh Taylor for another pay day. I understand why he's doing this. He's 30 now.
If u think this fight does 300-500k buys it's safe to say your delusional. Neither fighter is very popular on a main stream scale. This fight is on par with GGG vs Lemieux which did 150k it is a miss match

Agreed attendance will be great but the ppv will bomb either way I have more of a problem with the long wait for what in all likelihood will be a short fight, 1st it was late Jan then Feb and now mid March? WTF? Both these guys should be training already as it is nethier has fought in a while now there's no need to wait 4 months. Next thing we know they'll be saying it's happening in April

Well, I mean it is fair to say Wilder/Fury and Pacman/Broner threw a wrench in their original plans. Remember, there wasn't talk of either of those two fights taking place when Spence/Garcia was first talked about.

Which is exactly why I said early if they are going to go out into March now atp they both should just take interim fights and meet up in late May-June for as long as the fight was talked about I don't know why TF negotiations would be taking so long when they were able to put Wilder/Fury and Pac/Broner together so quickly. IMO they are probably over estimating the popularity of the fight it's barely even PPV material to begin with

Jerry Jones backing is HUGE for Errol Spence Jr and for Mikey he has Nothing to Lose and a TON of Money to Gain and his Profile goes up instantly just from stepping up, he makes the other PBC Welterweights look bad for not stepping up

Undercard has to stacked tho, should be a lot of Texas Fighters on it, Omar Figueroa for sure should return on this card

Goin into May, remember May-Pac II is supposed to happen. Mid March is fine.

Right before NCAA March Madness. No NFL, No MLB. NBA playoffs yet to begin. Open lane.

This is a great fight. No matter what, Mikey Garcia is a badass. How many guys look up in weight for a big fight? This isn't a PPV monster--it's a challenge for legacy.
