Bellew has decent power but there’s no need to make his left hook sound as though it is on par with Frazier’s in terms of a powerful, go-to, signature shot...where has this come from?

It’s clear though, Froch is on the Sky team and therefore just filling in the blanks that that requires.

I like Tony as I’ve said a few times on here but beating Haye’s shell doesn’t make you a world beater. It doesn’t. Fair play and a million times more the respect too him for overcoming the opinions of the majority more than once, but let’s not run away with ourselves here.

Yes, you can try that, but believe you me, it's not going to work.

Make no mistake, Usyk has tremendous stamina and you will not exhaust him by getting in his face and applying pressure.

Just keep throwing the left hook and hope you get home safe to your wife and kids would be my advice to Tony.

      Simple as that.
The amusing thing here is that Bellew punched himself to a standstill after about 6 rounds against a virtually immobile and helpless David Haye when he was 18 months younger than he is now, whilst Usyk was still bouncing and throwing like a WW after 12 rounds against a more dangerous Gassiev. Dudes conditioning is superb.

I'm struggling to see what advantages Tony has against Usyk, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that his stamina definitely ain't one of 'em.

Am I missing something here? how many times has Bellew KO'd or even KD'd someone with a left hook, leading to a TKO.
I spent an unnecessary amount of time this morning looking through some of his stoppages trying to answer that exact question (I'm sat at home with an injured neck and time to kill), and the answer is that most of his stoppages at Cruiser have come directly or indirectly from his hook, but that that ain't really saying a great deal - he does stop Flores with a fairly sweet hook when BJs swinging for the fences, but Flores had what one might call a limited defense and was ready to go already.

He dropped Bacurin with a right then pummeled him until the ref stepped in... he did land some nice hooks in there but they weren't finishers.

The ref also stopped Kulikauskis immediately after a hook seemed to stun him, but he was on his feet and could probably have continued. Dude was catching a beating though and it was probably a mercy stoppage as much as anything.

Brudov was stopped on a sweet hook but it's unclear if he failed to get up because he also reportedly broke his foot.

Dos Santos was stopped with a clean one hitter, but he's about the only absolutely unquestionable one.

I ain't gone back to his LHW days, but the hook does seem to be one of Tonys more important tools... thing is it usually comes when he's already battered guys to the point when they ain't really defending properly any more cos there's nothing particularly subtle or quick about it.

**** on! I thought Breidis gave Usyk hell, it was a lot tougher for Usyk than the final vs Gassiev. He looked absolutely shattered during that fight with Breidis.

I look at Bellew's hook as being a solid punch but nothing any one world class would get hit by or be KO'd by.

That hook is always the go-to punch when a fighter is either tired or trading mid-range or inside..... neither of which Usyk will do.

World class fighters always avoid their opponents strength's...... saying that Bellew's hook does not strike me as being a punch you desperately need to avoid, or the fight is over.

This isn't Wilder's right from range we are talking about..... but Sky have built it up. Total madness.
