I ain't mad about the fight. It was a good fight but Canelo won the rematch. I still will talk ***** about Canelo because he does stuff worthy of it.

I am not throwing Cotto under the bus when I say he ducked GGG. He did. He said GGG didn't earn the fight because he never fought an A-level fighter then chose to fight someone GGG knocked out in 3 rounds. He then paid GGG in order to fight Canelo for the belt and then he ran out the division as fast as he could when he lost to Canelo rather than stick around 160. And Cotto hasn't fought a big risk low reward fight since Austin Trout embarrassed him in MSG. Since that loss he fought a big money fight against Canelo, a big money fight against a guy coming off of two major knee surgeries in Sergio Martinez, no risk opponents Delvin Rodriguez and Yoshihiro Kamegai, GGG's sloppy seconds in Daniel Geale and a former 140lber in Sadam Ali who actually beat him.

Canelo tried to weight drain GGG. When he didn't Canelo dropped the belt and left 160. Rather than fight Charlo for a belt Canelo ducked him to fight Liam Smith for a paper belt. Canelo eventually made his way up but instead of fighting at 160 he chose to weight drain JCC Jr for a 164lb catchweight fight. He fought GGG twice and beat GGG once in my opinion which he earned my respect for doing. But rather than fight Charlo he ducked him again and begged the WBC to have GGG protect him from Charlo while he decided to move up from a stacked 160lb division to fight Britain's 5th best super middleweight for a paper title.


My criticisms of those guys are entirely legitimate.

your criticisms are fanboy nonsense that fall way short of the truth

FACT: Cotto was a superstar
FACT: 153lb Cotto was a JMW
FACT: any other fighter 140-160 would kill for that opportunity
FACT: Golovkin walked away from that fight when he totally refused to negotiate on weight with a 153lb SUPERSTAR


it gets worse.....

FACT: Golovkin was willing to fight every other JMW at catchweight, just not Cotto and Canelo

FACT: Golovkin has never lifted a finger to make a meaningful fight, not with anyone..... so stop insinuating that fault lies with the SUPERSTARS


they could have made a LOT of top fights..... much better fights than they ended up taking, with MUCH better opponents

I can give 8 specific examples

Golovkin being able to take a particular fight..... but CHOOSING not to, preferring to select someone WORSE..... is flat-out avoiding that fight

they completely failed to back up their words with actions, instead doing the exact opposite

they played risk/reward to DEATH, and it cost Golovkin his legacy..... they COULD have been mentioned alongside greats, because the fights WERE there..... they just chose to go a safer route to keep the hype-train running

you are not keeping it real, which is the main problem here

Golovkin and his fans deserve all the flak they get
