Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez Aims To Impress On Lomachenko-Pedraza

Teofimo Lopez is determined to take over the lightweight division. Italian heavyweight and former amateur standout Guido Vianello, who recently signed a multi-year professional contract with Top Rank, is hoping to make a statement in his scheduled six-round pro debut against Luke Lyons (5-1-1, 2 KOs).

Everytime I see his name I think of the 70s Cuban HW Teofilo then get disappointed the article ain't about him. Poor kid, I should pay Teofimo more attention.

Mason Menard! Good Pick! Now I can contrast how Haney and Lopez fight a similar foe! Teofimo is special! Probably fighting Loma this time next year!

I'll be impressed if he can win against top contenders with that flattened nose of his not breaking and causing breathing issues and a stoppage loss. Ray Mancini would be proud of his swiss cheese "defense".

Menard was way too slow. Was there nobody else available for Lopez or are they just aiming to do a comparison between Haney and Lopez on who did better? I am curious to see how really tough and durable of a fighter Lopez is. Unfortunately, we gotta wait couple more fights before he gets matched with an opponent that is a heavy puncher and applies pressure. The one thing that I saw that Teofimo didn't like is being pressured. He does well when he has the space to box. At least this won't be the co-main event which will be fireworks. They should put this on the ESPN + undercard cause this doesn't do anything for Lopez but make him look good against a washed out fighter

A lot of fighters that dont train out of the southwest have problems with pressure fighters bcuz they arent used to it.

Stacked card for December 8, and on free ESPN TV -- I wont be missing any of these. Chenko, Dogboe, Lopez are the future of the sport of boxing! I think Dogboe and Lopez will be joining Vasyl in the P4P soon enough.

Wow, where'd they get this stiff? The guy is 30 years old and fought nobodies. They need to step up the competition and test Teofimo.
