Skills are skills, but imagine Floyd fighting Roman Gonzalez. And then imagine if Roman Gonzalez knew how to kickbox but had no real aptitude for grappling.

Floyd will take care to make sure that the rules aren't stacked against him, but the danger of fighting a guy that size (in a fight that likely doesn't leave Asian, tbh) is far more manageable, even if Floyd was feeling froggish and opted for full MMA rules.

It would explain why he didn't go the UFC route. Dana wouldn't play ball with his rules I'm sure. So he's gone to someone that will.

Exactly. That’s what I’m saying. Roy’s last two fights were against nobodies...but they were nobodies who had participated in a boxing match before.
