Usyk's a great fighter. I'd like to see him fight Ward next.

          No We Don't Sadly!

Nothing to do with Usyk though, it is the Cruiserweight Division that America never really gave a sh#t about even when Holyfield was dominating it. Steve Cunningham had a good run as a Cruiserweight Champion for years and nobody cared

So it is more about the Division not necessarily Usyk. Like Holyfield, if he has success at Heavyweight then yeah people will care more. Regardless he is currently a Top 5 P4P Fighter so the skills are respected!

Americans in general don't give a **** about boxing anymore. I live in a major American city and its hard to find a bar showing boxing unless its a major ppv. While I can go across the street and watch college badminton or ****ing golf. If something is considered a cool thing to do Americans will do it even if its very boring. People who paid like 20 bucks to get into Connor vs Floyed barely even watched the fight itself. It was just a cool event to be at.

The Cruiserweight division does not get attention period. It never really has.

He's in a weak division and not a knock out artist so they can't hype him like a ggg or Kovalev.

US likes villains, feel good stories, redemption stories and knock out artists. Usyk is none of them.

That sucks for them. He's one of the most talented (and tested) guys around today. He also comes across as a fun character.

Probably not just Americans though, but all casual boxing fans in general. They warm to loud guys most of the time.
