Rigo would definitely give Davis a tougher fight than Mares. At least Rigo would throw something at him that he's never seen before. Mares won't be competitive at all.

Thats what I was thinking originally myself with all the Sergio vs JCC Jr talk. Then again I was kinda thinking if Sergio was gonna do anything it'd be on DAZN either way so I wasn't THAT confident in that.

I'm not "protecting" anyone. I wanna see competitive fights. I don't think many guys are competitive 2 divisions above their best successes at 37 or however old Rigo is. I didn't think Loma was gonna be competitive. I don't think Rigo vs many of the tip top guys at 130 is competitive. Rigo is legit child size if you've seen him. Dude is little for 122 ffs. His whole frame is tiny. I think he's losing to tip top 126lbers largely off of size (& age), but at least it'd be more competitive & not as far out of his comfort zone.
