San Mig and the third round: a combination that could make one pee in one's pants if one's a Pac fan buddy!
Pacquiao was hurt but he got Chololo too, late in the same round, didn't he?
The fight was a highlight reel, pal. Did you see that punch that Pacquiao threw while croaching? Boxing's equivalent of a hook shot in basketball? Fancy, that! It hit Larios' face too, didn't it?! And there were those lateral movements to the right--evading Chololo's left jab-- simultaneous to delivering a left straight!
I have been told that Chololo has captured the hearts of Filipinos all throughout the islands. A friend told me, if Larios wants to fight in the Philippines against a non-Filipino for a world title, some Filipino companies might foot the bill!
The prospects are not all that remote for a Larios fight against a non-Filipino in Manila, is it now? He knows some Tagalog! Said something like, "Salamat sa lahat nang Pilipinas!"
Everything you said is right buddy. That puch that surprised oscar and we went guffaw because even if it looked clumsy it looked effective. Man, that larios guy earned the respect of every pinoy boxing fan and when he said " salamat todas filipinas" the crowd cheered like we have not lost some of our spanish. And yes pacman came back late in that third round but I think larios won the round but the thai judge scored the bout 120-106. What a nuthugger!

Chololo got a standing ovation too at the end of the fight, right? Wow!
Boxing may resurrect the Acapulco-Manila Galleon Trade! LOL!!!
And the Thai... Wakee Salud must have brought him out to some place last night... LOL!
Mexico and the Philippines has so much in common, among them, centuries spent in the monastery (Spanish Catholicsm) and 50 years of Holywood! LOL!
Good to see ya pal! My best to all the Pinoys and your family! I'm sure the crime books all throughout the archipelago tomorrow will show, "zero criminal incidents while the fights were on!" LOL!!!!

hahahahaha!!!! That thai judge hands are trembling like he jacked off all night. Thanks buddy and nice seeing you too! That's what we've been saying while the fight was going on. Zero crime rate and no battle going on because thiefs, criminals and rebels are also glued on TV. No peeps on the street and a collective ooohs and aahhs when pac is delivering and receiving punches. Larios gave a good account of himself with this fight. Many experts are saying that he has a glass chin. How he proved them wrong. What a heart and conditioning. Props to larios! I think he can KO morales and marco one after the other at the same night! LOL!

Mendoza, Chololo's manager, has insisted and continues to insist that Larios is a lot better than Morales. Not too many listened, including me. And, I'm not quite listening very closely still.
hey buddy grayfist when i was a kid andy ganigan was know as the Hawian Punch ... pre fight hype against Alexis Arguello made me convince that he can be champion ... but the legend that Alexis is and wont be denied koed ANdy...
Another thing that should be noticed is how the crowd behaved.
DAMN it showcased how respectful these people are. Everybody kept quiet and gave respect to the Mexican national anthem while it is being sang, and take note that Larrios was never booed at any instance of the fight.
At the end Chololo thank the whole Phil for the warm reception.
I didnt see the fight but if that actually happened, thats great respect...

yup very much different with the vegas crowd. and even during the morales fight where we watched in a theatre, filipinos would be clapping for morales, and when he was interviewed he was cheered more for the courageous effort he'd given. majority of the crowd are not into boxing but they can display true sportmanship i guess.

Yes, of course! It was Andrew Ganigan that I forgot! The original Hawaiian Punch. Now I remember a bit more: although he was stopped by Alexis Arguello in some middle round, he dropped El Flaco in the first stanza.
That fella had power! He TKO'd Vicente Saldivar in their first meeting then UD'd Saldivar in the second-- Saldivar was one of very, very few who went the distance. And if one speaks of Saldivar, one speaks of a fighter who went 11 rounds with the great Esteban de Jesus in a failed bid for a world crown.
I'm not sure what alphabet title it was, but Ganigan KOd the veteran Sean O'Grady for some world crown, before facing Arguello.
Although I think Ganigan was a southpaw, I cannot be sure. The handful of stuff I hazily remember seeing him in has me thinking he was taking out opponents with his left.

There was also by a name of JEsUs SaLuD named Hawaiian Punch.
