Artur Beterbiev (13-0, 13 KOs), the IBF lightweight heavyweight champion, admits that he will have very little time to rest. Beterbiev will make the second defense of his world title against Joe Smith on December 15th, as part of the undercard to Canelo Alvarez vs. Rocky Fielding at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

He should, Joe Smith is a devastating hard puncher- especially early in fights. And we know Beterbiev gets hurt if his opponent can land a clean hard shot

Joe Smith does best in the first few rounds and then slows down, so his best chance will be early obviously.
I want to see more body punching from Artur. He is brutal to the body. I feel like he hasn't been going there in his last few fights though.

I feel like Beterbiev can't help himself with taking some risks. Its in his blood. So this should be a pretty fun fight.

I was a bit skeptical about the Golden Boy/Matchroom collaboration but if the Dec.15th undercard is any indication of things to come I’m pretty sike. Lemieux vs Johnson + Beterbiev vs Smith are solid fights can wait to see who else will be in the undercard.

I'm glad they're getting him back in with at least two fights for the years. I think he'll put Joe down but Joe could easily score a KD or even Ko himself. Two bombers in there. Gonna be an exciting fight...

He better be careful because if Joe Smith is 100% he can drop and finish him.

If Callum Johnson managed to seriously stun Beterbiev, Smith could very well be able to knock him out and produce the upset of the year. I think I'll put some money on that.
