I just finished rewatching the nietes-palicte and now i scored it a draw. I previously had it 8-3 nietes. There were rounds were nietes was defensively brilliant but at the same time not doing enough, just firing few accurate counters so i scored those rounds to palicte due to activity despite his inaccuracy. But i guess most people favor nietes's defensive prowess more. It was definitely a close fight, palicte was game all night so i think people should give some credit.

Anyway who do you got for both of these fights?

I see what you are saying, Aston held his own ; I knew Palicte was going to be in the fight for all 12 rounds. I favored the more polished work, thats why I had Nietes get the W.

For the cruiserweights I got Krzysztof Glowacki by KO, the Polish fans in Chicago will surely fire up Glowacki, like they did vs. Huck and Cunningham in NY.

Maksim Vlasov is just too small, I remember him vs. Gilberto Ramirez on HBO a few years over and then he fell off.

Donnie Nietes vs. Kazuto Ioka is such a bad-ass fight! I want to say Ioka but Donnie is so skilled so fluid that Kazuto will have to be the aggressor but he likes to counter punch often, so I could see Nietes getting the win, but I'm rooting for my boy Kazuto.

Interesting choices. As for me i root for nietes based on the fact that maybe ioka has problems with defensive minded fighters. I say maybe because his lone loss came from amnat who himself is no slouch defensively despite his dirty work. Although that was his only fight against such a fighter it still says a lot for a home fighter to lose in his backyard in a close fight by decision.
