Junior featherweight contender Diego De La Hoya (21-0, 10 KOs), the 24-year-old first cousin of Hall of Famer Oscar De La Hoya, will have a hometown fight in Mexicali, Mexico, where he will face Edixon Perez (17-2, 12 KOs), 26, of Venezuela, in a 10-rounder on Nov. 17 (beIN Sports Espanol), according to Golden Boy Promotions president Eric Gomez. Golden Boy is co-promoting the card with Zanfer Promotions, which Golden Boy has been doing more and more business with. De La Hoya, who isn’t far from a world title shot, is coming off a seventh-round knockout of former world title challenger Jose Salgado on June 8.
