Yes Loma is that fast. Mayweather is throwing backhand punches that only travel about 3 inches on a speedbag. You don't throw those kind of punches in the ring in a real boxing match. All top pros look very fast when they are showing off their hand speed with no opponent. Loma and Pacquiao also look unbelievably fast shadow boxing. It's a boxer's speed and accuracy in landing punches against an opponent who is trying to make them miss and hit them back that matters. Speed bag punching doesn't mean that much. Mayweather has very fast hands but so do some other top pros like Loma. Mayweather is very old for a boxer and his hand speed is no longer what it once was. That's why he is retired and if he fights again it will be against a cage fighter and not a prime young welterweight ace like Spence or Crawford.

This is from 2013, when Floyd was 35/36 years old. I think Loma now may be as fast as Floyd was at this point. If this was video of Floyd at 30, he was far faster IMO then Loma is now at 30.
