Mikey desperately trying to defend another misquote and bait thread. How the mighty have fallen. Reputation in ruins, legacy tarnished for life, maybe he'll have the decency to end it like a man...

      was he exaggerating?

whats the ball park of high punch counts in a round?

okay so name 1 boxer who threw 1000 punches in a round, ILL WAIT.
Bruh the entire point of him saying 1,000 punches a round was too exaggerate and NOT put a number on what is a crazy amount of punches that would put a definition of what a doped up guy might be able to do.

You putting 1,000 punches on Paulie's words is making it look like Paulie is saying Rob Brant or anyone who's throwing a 1,000 punches is on something. He's clearly not.

        forget the number,

he saying anyone who coming out and throwing alot is a suspected PED cheat,

so anyone throwing above the division norm is a suspected PED cheat in Mallangi eyes.

        now back to the number

he says 1000 punches I brought his exaggeration to reality and put 100 punches cause thats the EQUIVALENT to his exaggeration.

He basically saying anyone who coming out and thorwing above the norm is CHEATING, and 100 punches a round is above the norm for any division but yet few figthers do it, few fighters turn up, they are suspected PED CHEATS according to Mallangi.

thats what he said just cause he didnt say it verbatim doesn't mean it inst what he is saying.

If someone doesn’t punch back, you could actually throw a thousand punches on them. Like pac-clottey

OH BOOHOO!! Paulie just tryna justify his boring inactive style and sht on active fighters who throw alot in fights.

Look at Negrete vs Franco fight. Both totaled 2000 punches in one fight (1000 each).

No it's not what he is saying, I can't believe how completely thick you're being right now, and I complete believe im wasting my day to correct you but here it goes...

First off 1000 punches a fight is very realistically possible and has been done many times, he says 1,000 punches a round as a throwaway comment in an exaggerated way, and in no way at any time should you or anyone else assume he means 1,000 punches a fight. That is a LEAP.

Secondly 100 punches a round is 1200 punches, 84 punches a round equates to 1,000 punches, that is a very significant difference, so again your argument doesn't make sense.

Lastly I know that Paulie doesn't think or meant what your saying, because he used the boxers throwing a 100 punches a round in past interviews as evidence to kill Pacquiao. He said historically the guys that throw that many punches have a fluid style and incorporate a lot of arm punching or shoe shining, so it's realistic to have that high level of activity, he gave Calzaghe and mexican fighters who fight 12 rounds in the pocket as examples, whereas Pac was throwing that many punches with everything on them mostly full power.

So basically you're talking sheet and putting words in his mouth. Poor thread, I'll try to find the interview to put this and you to bed. I made a thread on it a few years ago.

Just came on here to say the same thing thing. Didn't actually hear what he was saying, but Paulie did a magnificent job there, keeping his eyes from wandering down too often. Deserves a medal for courage under fire in my book..

Obviously never seen the Welsh wizard Joe Calzaghe smashing the next great American Jeff Lacy.

paulie knows , and i think if he went a bit further he would elaborate on people throwing 60+ POWER shots , ie munguila springs to mind. and if anyone doesnt doubt usyk or loma based on there culture of peds in there countrys of birth , then that is irony ! Amazing natural talent no doubt , but stamina is the main issue im talking about , as is paulie , not so much steroids as epo / insulin growth factor 3 which is still untestable for any significant period of time , googles your friend !

and just being honest , brazil , mexico and eastern europe , would be my 3 nomimated ped hotspots from a young age , americas been well known for years with the college peds , but the uk is fast catching up , its a problem that needs eradicating , or abolishing and let them fight untested , a level playing field should be the bare minimum in contact sport
