For the WBSS fights and the Matchroom UK fights DAZN is great. But it's not great for boxing in America.
It's a niche app now but that's cus they're only a couple of months old. Like I said, this is the way sport is going & DAZN has got into this space early. They wanna be the Netflix of sports & personally I love that idea.

Wait until the existing deals are up & DAZN will have NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, NASCAR etc. The fact they've chosen to start with boxing is great for our sport.

No it's not the way sports are going. Sports is still overwhelmingly viewed thru traditional methods, over the air and Cable TV. The way sports are going is the FOX/Showtime/ESPN model where they're offered OTT as well as thru cable/satellite/and over the air. Not one single sport is looking to be broadcast exclusively on an app. Not even a niche sport like soccer in America. WWE has their own app and network and they still got a broadcasting deal with Fox. If this is the way sports was going they'd move all their content to the app.

Can't you see that the process has started? Obviously it ain't all gonna happen overnight. In 10 years time, maybe even less, streaming will be the main way to watch all sport. Major companies don't throw money at this stuff unless they're certain.

10 years ago everybody still bought CD's & didn't know Spotify. 10 years ago everybody still bought DVD's & didn't know Netflix. It's sports turn now. And boxing is at the front of it.

DAZN isn't keeping all those subscribers which means DAZN isn't really making that much money of the subscriptions for Canelo's December fight. Hearn tried to do the same thing with the AJ fight, a lot of ppl subscribed and got it free but how many of those subscribers did DAZN keep? Did DAZN even make money so far? Maybe that's the reason they offered Canelo all that money, because Hearn wasn't getting it done like he promised. I subscribed and cancelled so they didn't get a penny from me, DAZNs fights were garbage, no incentive to stay until a big fight is made and I'll subscribe and cancel again.
Thats my plan from month to month. If there is another fight Ill buy another month.

I dont even buy discs at all 4k or Blu-ray.

And games?? i used to only want discs so could resale it. but not anymore. Too much of a waste of space and getting up to remove disc.

I tried selling a bunch of Blu-rays and PS3 games and could barely get $3 for them if that! Most offered $1 or less.

PS4 games im Lucky to get more than $20 but the amount of time doesnt equal the pay.

When was the last time you burned a cd with music???

I got rid of my cable. I was spending over $150 plus PPV.

I know just buy Vue $44 for sports and when not in season drop it. Add Showtime for $7.99 the months a fight is on and then drop.

I just did HBO for Jacobs fight and they gave it to me a free trial. ESPN $5. DAZN the months I use wont be much.

Best thing is NO CONTRACTS. Its like i only pay for what I want, when I want.
