It's sad when boxers go on too long & that's exactly what Nonito has done. He used to be one of the most exciting fighters in the world to watch but he's a shadow of what he used to be. Time to hang 'em up.

The hardest part is when a boxer moves up in weight because he can't cut the weight to stay in his premier weight class and now he's up at an ineffective weight. He takes a beating there or realizes he lost the attributes that made him great so he TRIES to go back down to that premier weight class, only this time because of age, it's brutal on the body to get down. When he finally gets down, because of that dramatic weight cut, he no longer has the attributes he initially had at the weight that made him great. The rise and fall of greatness, or... aging. We are all immortal to that.

118lbs!!! Really Donaire? I think we are all in clear agreement here Donaire just needs to hang em up at this point...How do you go from 126 back to 118 at a latter age? Donaire use to walk around at like 145 150lbs too....You gotta know when to hang em up Donaire has had a decent career but he just wasn't a p4p top fighter but to go back to 118 is just pure desperation and even if he did win another title it's meaningless because now your just a str8 up old weight bully..

Donaire's real opponent is himself. He doesnt train hard. That statement came from his father and former trainer. He couldve made his career even greater if he trains as hard as those elites.
