Froch himself said that he couldnt beat GGG, avoid him like the plague etc. He got offered alot of money for the fight and GGG would have travelled to his backyard and Froch still passed on that fight. Thats all you need to know.

Froch would have been waaay too big for GGG... In SMW, GGG's punches wouldn't have been hard enough to slow down Froch, who was always in tip top shape and even stronger in the ladder rounds.

There is no fight I actually wanted to see more c. 2014 /2015, and I think it could have been an epic, I think Golovkin is the more skilled of the pair, but Froch was an indomitable machine in his prime. 50 / 50 in my book... I think we might see GGG boxing off the back foot again because I don't think he'd be able to push Carl back, but Carl doesn't have Canelo's speed on the counter so we'd see a different kind of fight with Froch trying to impose his length and physical presence and gradually wear Golovkin down in the later rounds.
