  • Comments Thread For: Miguel Cotto: Thought of Return Has Never Crossed My Mind

Four division world champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico is enjoying his new role as a promoter, and has no intention of returning to the ring. Cotto (41-6, 33 KOs), 38-years-old, retired from boxing last December, after suffering an upset twelve round unanimous decision loss to big underdog Sadam Ali.

If he can't beat someone like Sadam Ali then he should definitely remain retired. Glad he's sticking to his guns and not thinking about coming back.

That would be a vicious beating at this point...

Mayweather vs Cotto 2 would be a good match up. At least he will be fighting someone with boxing experience but not a young fresh fighter.

And he is right. He doesn't need to fight and shouldn't be fighting anymore. He's got nothing left to prove. He made the right decision unlike some 40 year olds and over who are still fighting for what exactly?

Enjoy retirement and keep doing what you're doing Champ!
