Comments Thread For: Gilberto Ramirez Very Focused On Knocking Jesse Hart Out

WBO super middleweight world champion Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez is working at full speed in California to once again defend his championship in a rematch with Jesse Hart, which tops an ESPN televised card on December 14 in Corpus Christi, Texas. In September of last year, Ramirez won a twelve round decision over Hart in a mandatory fight that was ordered by the WBO.

Pathetic that Ramirez acts like a rematch with a fringe contender is a big fight.

Does anyone really care about Zurdo nowadays? Honestly, I think Jaime Munguia has surpass him in popularity here in the states and maybe even in Mexico. Top Rank has done him no favors other than feeding him an over the hill Abraham for the WBO belt. I can’t see Zurdo ever reaching Canelo status with all the bums he keeps fighting.

Nah, Salido was never blessed w/t Zurdo’s skills. Chavez Jr. actually had talent unfortunately no heart or work ethic to go w/t it. Zurdo could of definitely reached Chavez Jr. status but not by fighting bums. Top Rank has done him a disservice should sign w/t Hearn would guarantee a unification match w/t WBSS winner Smith.
