There’s been little talk of Danny Jacob’s future regarding networks etc and Eddie Hearn didn’t want to talk about it post fight. He’s a free agent but is still advised by Al Haymon, could this be a power move by the PBC and Barclays to get this fight with a lot of beef and build it in front of a big crowd there? With the winner being Canelos mandatory and potential to do a deal there as Canelo will have to fight them forget all the signing with DAZN talk unless he vacates.

    It says:

    Cong**** Danny Jacobs.
    Next stop Brooklyn.

Why would Jacobs fight Charlo next when he can go straight to Canelo?

There’s no guarantee he will fight Canelo next and if he does what type of deal is he going to get I’m pretty sure he will be dictated to, Canelo is not obligated to fight anyone and can still get the same pay.

Exactly and he doesn't inherit Charlo mandatory status with the WBC. He already gave up his WBC ranking by agreeing to fight for the IBF belt. He risks losing the belt he just won. His chances of landing canelo drops by going back to PBC as well as a unification with Andrade

He's not fighting Andrade they are friends and have an agreement.
So if he don't get the Canelo fight than guys like GGG, Charlo and BJS are the next best case.

Technically that is true but can all change just as quickly as everything changed in the past 6 weeks.

              Canelo can stay at 168
Jacobs can go back to PBC
GGG can sign with ESPN or SHO

Once again leaving Andrade the odd man out.

What about the Barclays Center tweeting that though, a little bit unusual if nothing happening there and PBC are tweeting about Danny too. I think Canelo is in a very strong position in that he can fight much lesser options and be paid the same so why would golden boy pay huge purses to a Jacobs who could give Canelo a headache? Their terms may be unreasonable for someone like Jacobs especially when he can get a big purse in a grudge match v Charlo with easy negotiations? Just a thought.

Plus by tweeting that Brooklyn Boxing is shietting on the Charlo Monroe fight telling people not to bother to come because Charlo has got the fight won already.

Really ****** tweet by someone not in the know. They could tweet that they want that fight but shouldn't say its next

If Jacobs goes back to PBC he is less likely to get canelo fight. He would be foolish to leave. All the belt holders are with DAZN including the cash cow. More options staying with hearn.

WBC cant force canelo to fight anyone he doesn't want to fight that's already proven but even if you do think they can if Charlo fights Jacobs he probably loses his ranking and mandatory status with WBC. Just like Jacobs is no longer ranked with WBC. Sure if he beats Jacobs he is now the IBF champ but he would be no closer to fighting canelo. Canelo could fight Andrade unification, fight GGG, Munguia or anyone else he wants and Charlo/Jacobs left out in the cold.
If Jacobs goes back to PBC he has the same shot of fighting Canelo as he had with Hearn. Oscar isn't asking fighters to sign with DAZN to fight Canelo. Canelo fought 2 Haymon/PBC fighters recently without them having to sign contracts to HBO. Haymon let Jacobs go to HBO to fight GGG. Oscar had already said he had no problem making a Charlo fight but it has to be on DAZN, and that's it no signing with DAZN. Hearn is the only saying fighters need to fight to DAZN. That's a reason why all of Hearns cards have been garbage n will continue to b because he's trying to force fighters to sign to DAZN in order to make a fight with his fighters. Especially when most of them r b side fighters
