If Andre Ward comes back and beats Usyk, is he greater than Mayweather all-time?

The names alone on Mayweather's resume are obviously greater, from De La Hoya, Marquez, and Mosley to Cotto, Canelo, and Pacquiao.

The knock against Floyd is that all those fighters were past their prime, green, or too small. I don't believe that, but others do.

If Ward comes back and beats Usyk at cruiserweight assuming Usyk gets by Bellew in November, Ward would have the anti-Mayweather resume in the eyes of Mayweather doubters.

168: Prime Kessler, Abraham, and Froch to win the Super Six + Prime Chad Dawson
    175: Prime Kovalev twice
    200: Prime Usyk

Three divisions full of taking on the best fighters in their primes. I think this would establish Andre Ward as a modern day ATG.

Yes, that would make him greater than Mayweather all-time

No, Mayweather would still be greater all-time

I think Froch, Kovalev, and Usyk will at a minimum get on the Hall of Fame ballot. With that said, Kovalev isn't done fighting yet and Usyk only has 15 fights.

The argument is less of which fighters' opponents had greater careers, obviously Mayweather's opponents did, but does the fact that Ward fought each of them in their primes give him greater footing than Mayweather.

Even if you don't think Usyk puts Ward above Mayweather, you'd obviously agree that Usyk and Joshua would put Ward above Mayweather, right?

Nothing Ward does will ever come close to Fraud's defining legacy fights such as past prime Berto, Undefeated boxer Mcgregor, and future fight in the making Khabib.

Floyd Floyd Floyd! Floyd this Floyd that. And then y’all keep saying he’s irrelevant. How is he irrelevant when he owns this website? Boxing revolves around Mayweather, he is the Golden standard everything is always compared to Floyd. Prime Kessler is like saying Prime Robert Guerrero lmao. Prime Kovalev? How is 34-35 still considered Prime? If that’s the case Manny Pacquiao was in his prime when Floyd fought him but I forget y’all have different criteria for certain fighters.

Nah. Ward is an all time great but his career had to many stretches of inactivity and his career ended too early for him to build a body of work like Floyd

I'm a Mayweather fan, buddy. He turned me into a hardcore boxing fan.

Mikkel Kessler made it onto the HOF ballot in his first year of eligibility. Will Robert Guerrero ever see the HOF ballot?

Kovalev was 33 the first time he fought Ward and undefeated. He was also one of the top 2 LHWs in the world for 5 years.
