Being honest I think that GGG is an underrated thinker. I mean when have big punchers with no iq they usually get outboxed easily. But when a puncher has skills and iq he makes anyone he fights in a tough fight I mean Jacobs and Canelo to me are elite fighters and GGG gave hell to both of them.

There were spots were GGG would make Canelo miss and counterpunch so the guy clearly can box, plus he has a very good sense of distance imo.

Now I've watched just two fights of Derev, the Castaņo fight in the WBS and the Tureano fight and let me tell you I think Derev is tough as nails I think that he has a very solid chin too and sometimes he puts up very craetive combinations but I gotta see him with a top guy before I see where he is at.

I've like what I've seen from him but this fight will tell us a lot about him, can't wait.

You are correct. GGG was a great amateur fighter as well. He is a great fighter all around

"Smarter" just means that he won't take as many chances as GGG did - which means he probably won't score a knockdown like GGG did - which means he probably will not get a decision in NYC.

I think it's much easier to say things like this than it is to actually prove them that said I don't see Derev winning tonight, but we'll see

He hasn't proved himself on that level yet. Jacobs will be the first real test of his pro career.

He's getting beyond himself if he thinks he's reached Golovkins smarts - Golovkins no inexperienced dummy. Derevyanchenko, judging from his youtube highlights is a decent tough brawler thats basically fought mannequins.... His speed is average and his toughness may be above average with all that sparring experienced with Jacobs..... Unless Jacobs wants to play tough guy and **** with "the brawler" like an idiot, he should be able to neutralize that standard attack with his "experienced" jab, rangy counterpunching & combinations....C'mon Danny, Brooklyn is in DA HOUSE - represent with smarts !!

I think youre a 100% right, and at 36 he's proved that with the younger prime fighter - both times!....imagine if they squared up when both were in their twenties? The guy is a thinker in there, not a stinker...lol....And to build a bond with a trainer that speaks another language with a different culture, shows another level of dedication that goes beyond differences..... That "Mexican style" (Team GGG) crap they goaded on Canelo backfired though..lol, they shouldve kept quiet and let Canelo "back up" again....they probably wouldve stood a better chance since they knew what was coming - again....

I think Golovkin is a better fighter but Derevyanchenko has two things going for him that GGG didn't....The first one is speed, and the second is youth/ age.
