I hate to be the grammatical standards police, but in this case, Jacobs isn't 26 - he's only a year younger than his opponent.
This looks a good matchup on paper, but that doesn't always translate into FOTY candidate. I assume Sergiy is the more hungry fighter simply as it's his first title fight and he should know what's at stake.

It will be interesting to see what Jacobs weighs on fight night (does the IBF still insist on same day weigh-ins as part of the requirement or did they scrap it?) because we've seen the very large Jacobs hydrate up to light heavyweight.

Derevyanchenko has fought half of his most recent fights at close to 168, so maybe the weight issue won't be a problem.

There's no doubt this is one of the many possible matchups fans have been waiting for for the better part of 4-5 years, and sadly the Jermall Charlo is a ducker, Alvarez does whatever suits him regardless of obligations he might owe to contenders waiting patiently for there shot.

Canelo is a selfish diva who talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. two fights at middleweight and he's off chasing a secondary title at 168? WTF?

Why couldn't he fight Lemieux or anyone at 160? It's disrespectful. He's acting like a millennial girl who thinks she doesn't owe anyone any respect, and treats people with disdain. He's an ******.

Can't wait for this fight, this will be a potential fight of the yr on paper! My prediction is they'll give it to Jacobs even if he loses by a rd or 2,NY judges are known for giving the close rds to the favorite/big name like they did when Jacobs at least deserved a draw vs ggg imho.

I know. My bad. Typed over the stats piece from last week and missed that. Happens sometimes and out in for a change. Thanks for the catch.
