What's new?
Floyd has been doing this for a decade now!
Then his fans come here and protect Floyd's BS cherry picks.
Juan Marquez moved up from 130 to 147 to fight Floyd (had only 2 fights at 135). Floyd couldn't even respect the contracted weight and came in 2lbs over!
Cherry picking excuse:
Floyd said: But Marquez is P4P #2
Floyd fans: But Marquez is P4P #2
These joke fights should be officially called exhibition matches.
BUT
since he is a home town Nevada guy, the NSAC will still look the other way and call them "professional fights" against people who have never had a professional boxing fight in their lives!!!!

I understand true fighters feeling disrespected since they are making less money and getting less shine fighting real fights/threats.
Even Butterbean wasn't a beginner and had a boxing record/license.
But boxing has been & is a circus "just put asses in the seat" sport unlike any other. Would I like..no love for boxing to make more sense? F#cking hell yea. But I can't dog any one person for making a "mockery" of boxing for big money when its happening daily for lil money.
Floyd hurting the sport here is a fact.
The argument that we would do the same for 9 figures so we can't criticize is crazy to me.
Until boxing is made to be more like other sports with a tier of elite fighters that can only fight each other through a centralized power structure that rules them this is gonna be a every man for himself sport where bs fights happen daily, weekly, monthly & yearly at w/e level one can take advantage of making a bs fight. Boxing is what boxing has made itself. When the $ rules the day the sport takes a backseat.

It only helped mcgregor become a bigger name. he went in there and went to to toe with the supposed best boxer in the world that made the ufc bigger. after that khabib and mcgregor did over 2 million buys on ppv. Biggest ufc ppv ever if I'm not mistaken.
I don't see any proof Floyd has even hurt boxing with this McConor fight. We are in the biggest boxing boom since I've been a fan right now in 2018 just 1 year post this alleged "end of boxing" fight.
DAZN has put $1.3B into boxing over the next 8 years.
ESPN has given Bob $60M or some sh^t like that a year.
And Al has gotten about $120M a year from multiple sources for idk how many years.
Supposedly Zuffa Boxing is still going to be a thing so who knows how much money they will put putting in soon. If they are going to make a real effort its surely to be $30M+ one would assume & with their attempts to sign Joshua & Canelo one can assume its well past that amount.
So there is something like $300M a year being put into boxing right now. I remember in the previous prime of boxing when HBO was running sh^t in the 90's HBO was getting around $100M a year & no one else was close to them & maybe $150M a year was being put into boxing if you were rounding up.

You telling me Charlo wouldn't fight an MMA fighter for over $100m?
You have to stay in perspective.
Would he (Charlo) make that fight if he had 400 million in the bank?
Probably not.
