These guys - Oquendo, Peter, Ruiz, Byrd, etc- were what made the 'era' (if you can call it that) the post-Lewis/Holyfield era now called the Klitschko era so ordinary. Sub-standard.
Sure there were some above average guys who came on the scene and did Ok like Rahman and Sanders, Tua and Brewster, and I'll always give respect to any guy who steps in the ring and laces up against anyone - but then a standard needs to be applied after that initial respect, there are levels to it.
I don't think anyone wants to see Arreola v Oquendo, they probably didn't want to see it ten years ago, or even know about it much less be newsworthy.
