punching power is totally different in those sports. McGregor hit Floyd with a flush uppercut and Floyd didn't even blink. McGregor usually does damage with a clean shot in UFC.

imagine a UFC fighter getting a straight right from Kovalev...
He fights at 205 which is LHW in MMA so the CW division in boxing would make sense, but the money would be at HW.

im sorry but dude got zero balls to fight at heavyweight...

daniel cormier gets much more respect in the martial arts world for fighting pretty much anyone either heavyweight or light heavy
      Negative

Jon will reclaim the light heavyweight title after he beats Gustafsson then fight Daniel for the heavyweight title in an attempt to match Cormier's achievement of holding 2 belts at one time.

Also Jon was set to fight Brock at heavyweight before he got jammed up.

Most MMA fighters are delusional. One thing I can't stand about MMA is how they are constantly talking about certain fighters being the greatest ever, or GOAT, best in history, etc. The sport has only been in its current form for less than 20 years yet MMA fans, press, and MMA fighters are constantly arguing about who is the GOAT MMA fighter. Maybe in 50 yrs they can have discussions about GOAT, but not now.

Not only that the UFC always jumps the gun on how good or how great their fighters are, but then they usually end up looking like fools when their GOAT fighter name inserted here gets sparked out whether it be Brock Lesnar or Ronda Rousey. It makes the sport of MMA look amateurish. It makes the UFC's word worthless when gauging who their best fighters are and what their potential is.

Imagine a boxer winning 8 fights and already the boxing community, the press, fans, trainers, other boxers start proclaiming said fighter to be the greatest fighter in history, that said fighter could easily beat Ali, Robinson, Chavez, Tyson, etc. in their primes. Everyone would think the boxing community was insane. But the UFC, MMA community constantly do this and they never learn once their GOAT gets (rather easily) knocked off their pedestal.

Believe me BigJavi Jon is jealous of Cormier's "Double Champ" achievement.

And Daniel has repeatedly thrown it in Jon's face on Twitter.

He'll fight at heavy for that reason alone

But I don't see him remaining at heavyweight defending the belt like Daniel Cormier will.
