But yea like I said it was too optimistic a matchup. A guy can dream can't he? lol.
Ortiz manager said it aswell. When he had his couple of fights with Matchroom they didnt have all that much, Joshua, Whyte and Allen. Matchrooms heavyweight stable/affiliated is ridiculous now.

    Joshua
    Whyte
    Miller
    Usyk
    Povetkin
    Parker
    Chisora
    Takam

    Plenty to offer Ortiz

BOOOoooo! Why not Breazeale or Kownacki? Oh well, good luck with DAZN "King Kong!" At least you had a title shot!

Kauffman will come to fight, meaning he will get KO'd in spectacular fashion. Will be enjoyable to watch and then we can get moving towards Povetkin/Ortiz in April

"Never forget this in boxing looking impressive against someone good is best;"
Dillion Whyte has fought people who on paper could have beaten him, Helenius was once a really good prospect and he is a big heavy, Lucas Browne was another big heavy and undefeated, then Whyte had really hard fights against Chisora and Parker. So in the UK he now brings in good money and can head the bill on his own events. Chisora 2 makes sense especially after Chisora beat Takam, it will bring the most money in. Ortiz is in that place where he cannot get a decent fight, he does not bring the money in and the risk of a loss is to great. Whyte can get good opponents as the money is there, fighting Oriz would still be a big fight in the UK, but I think he feels he can beat Chisora and at the same time earn more money. Ortiz will come to the UK especially if Wilder/Fury and AJ and all tied up for a year fighting each other. It could be a fight against Whyte or Joe Joyce ...........then again Joyce could fight Whyte a a massive UK fight and again Ortiz will lose out on a big money fight.

Who else is he meant to fight right now?

While Wilder skipped war and went to the local bingo hall for opponents instead.
