U.S.A. isn’t really killing it, at least not at 160 or above. Although Andrade just won a vacant belt he beat an unknown dude instead of Saunders. Not Andrades fault that Saunders got suspended/stripped, but that African he was in against was ready to be stopped and Andrade was happy to just cruise to the finish. Talk about boring. You say Derevyanchenko is boring? I care 100x more about what they do on fight night in the ring compared to what they say in random interviews and what not. Andrade was boring as hell in the last half of that fight. He could’ve stopped that dude easily. And he’s done this many times. Didn’t the guy with the worlds corniest nickname Alantez “Slyaza” Fox go the distance with him? Anyways compared with what Andrade does in the ring, I think Derevyanchenko is the much more entertaining fighter. He isn’t just a come forward slugger blocking punches with his face. He was something like 390-20 as an amateur plus I believe he was like 24-1 in the WSoB which in my opinion should count towards your pro record for various reasons that I won’t list here. But that would make Derevyanchenko 36-1 in the pros, with that crazy amateur record. The only thing is his opposition. Id need to
See who he fought in the WSoB but the toughest opponent thus far was definitely Taureano Johnson, but I thought he looked great in that fight. So Jacobs is by far the toughest opponent Derevyanchenko has faced as a pro and he’s giving up a lot of height and reach, but who knows. Although the styles aren’t the same, maybe we see another Pirog situation. I see Derevyanchenko as a very live dog. Also a draw could be a real possibility. The dude isn’t boring in the ring. But if you are more into the WWE style interviews and trash talking they do to promote the shows, then yes I could certainly see how Derevyanchenko would seem very boring. Outside the ring he’s like GGG except GGG at least had the broken English “good boy” and “are you serious?” type of stuff that a lot of fans loved. Derevyanchenko so far offers nothing in terms of outside the ring self promotion. But I can handle that if the guy is an exciting fighter.Comment
