Maybe Pac wanting a tuneup before facing Mickey was probably because he Remembers the sparring they had a few years back where Mikey was giving him problems and pac couldn’t land anything on him.

compare to guys like floyd, pac, etc. mikey and broner are in the same category. what has mikey done that is special to consider him as an elite???

Well see right there is your problem Prime Manny and Floyd is the Pinnacle. You can be elite and lose to them every time. Now Broner from a scale from 1-10 is a 5. Fair rating. Mikey Garcia is a 7-8 just like Crawford. Elite is 9-10.

Why? Well for starters Mikey already beat Broner like 9 rds to 3. Broner is not active allowing an opponent to also rest when needed. Broner resets quite a bit within any given round allowing you to steal a round even when Broner started said round off good. Broner has no plan B, no real boxing IQ for the flow of a fight, Broner won't cut off the ring like Mikey would, Broner basically follows a fighter around and does little when actually in position to fire, Broner pulls back in straight lines etc...perfect for a southpaw to just pile on points. To sum up, Broner is more the tuneup variety for a plethora a reasons, and yeah he can sell a fight with his AB (About Bulls***) mantra so that's a plus as well for Pac.

Broner has absolutely ZERO track record to say that he is "tough" for any A level fighter, especially north of 140 pounds. Hell, a B level fighter in Jesse Vargas got out to a nice lead and leaked oil to a draw. Broner is what he is. Please don't make him out to be this boogeyman killer that is just waiting to hit his stride and put it all together...lol You betting on a 3-legged horse in that regard.
