Comments Thread For: Dmitry Bivol: I View Jean Pascal as a Dangerous Opponent

WBA light heavyweight champion Russian Dmitry Bivol feels strongly that it would be a very big mistake to underestimate Canadian star Jean Pascal. Last week, it became known that Bivol would return on November 24 in the United States - and make a defense of his world title against Pascal. The 27-year-old Russian boxer has an undefeated record of 14 wins (11 by knockout). And on the account of 35-year-old Pascal, is 33 victories (20 knockouts), a draw and five defeats.

I'd say Smith made the right choice by going for beterbiev,I'm sure he's getting paid more to fight on dazn and his chances of winning are slightly more as beterbiev showed vulnerability in his last fight.. whereas bivol would've outbox smith completely

Perhaps Bivol is talking about being pickpocketed by Pascal. That could be the only danger for him in this fight.

I wouldn't count Pascal out. If he lands all of his punches and Bivol misses all of his then he has a chance.

Pascal can punch is explosive and he comes to fight. Underestimating your opponent will get you KO'd.

Pascal last two losses are to Alvarez and Kovalev. And everyone thinks Kovalev is God here. So is Kovalevs best win vs a bum.

Kovalev beats Pascal and people were saying Kovalev beat a former 175 pound King. Bivol fights him and Pascal is a bum. Which is it? You can't have it both ways

I think the Best Kovalev was better than the Best Bivol can/will ever be... Definitaly the hardest task for Bivol so far... Who knows which Pascal will come in on fight night... V1 vs Kovalev Pascal can put Bivol in trouble, but I'm afraid this version is gone for good...

Pascal is a true warrior... A breed that is diapering with the new gen...

He also lost to Froch and an OLD ASS B-hop (should have been twice). And even those losses were many many moons ago, which he has done nothing of note in the meantime to prove he is still a force.

Having said that, Bivol is young, HBO is cheap. This isn’t a fight Bivol should be raked over the coals for taking. I’ll be watching.

No, he's not dangerous anymore. People aren't idiots. If you struggle with him you'll lose face, big time.
