He’s making a point of modesty because you could argue he did well enough against a top tier lightweight, instead he’s saying he feels he could have done better.Comment

Loma did good in that fight against Linares. You could tell his body was getting used to fighting at that weight and taking punches from bigger guys.Comment

Just goes to show you how smart Lomachenko is to recognize his weight class. Most other idiots will keep jumping weight classes till they are brutally knocked out.Comment

Smart answer ....
It’s a process and no matter how talented you are it takes time ....
It’s not like he is fighting bums as he moves up !Comment

Mikey's likely going to eventually fill out at 140lbs, but any fight at 147 would be akin to Floyd fighting at 154lbs.
Lomachenko has gotten to where he was heading.Comment

Loma vs. Linares was so close and Linares got caught with a great shot. I hope there's a rematch cuz both of them are world class fighters.Comment

Loma telling it real.
He has no need to lie to hype himself he wants the best fights and so far has been able to get the best fights.
Once he finishes Pedraza and his shoulder is fine he will be vying for Mikey.
So Mikey you better start getting serious about fighting Loma cause I know he's serious about fighting you..Comment

Goes to show you how special guys like Floyd and Manny were. Floyd went from competing as a lightweight to fighting DLH at 154 in a matter of like three years. And spent years fighting as a welterweight when he probably was a natural jr welterweight. At least by today’s standards. And Manny took it a step further by fighting his second fight with JMM at 130, and then taking on DLH at welterweight later that year. And outside of his next fight with Hatton, fought the rest of his career as a welterweight.
Lomachenko is a good little fighter. But he has a long way to go if he wants to be mentioned in the same breath as the P4P greats like Floyd and Manny. Not to mention guys like Ray Robinson or Henry Armstrong.Comment
