On Julio, Ibragimov, and the screwjob last night

Over vacation last week, I witnessed three of the worst fights in boxing I've seen in a long ass time. Makes me glad I picked that week to get away for a while and now I wish I'd never tuned in.

Joel Julio was PATHETIC against Quintana, who didn't look spectacular himself. I made a post about this fight previously saying how Julio had done nothing to prove he was a good fighter and worthy contender but that I was interested in seeing him. Quintana had an easy night with one of the most overrated prospects I've ever seen in my life. Good riddance, Joel WHO?lio

Then came the main event, which was as bad as Byrd vs. Williamson. Only Brock wanted to fight and only about two times during the "fight". WHO THE HELL ARE THE IBRAGIMOV BROTHERS?! That guy Timur is easily one of the worst fighters I've seen in my entire life. I can't believe this guy was undefeated and even put in against Brock. HE NEVER WANTED TO FIGHT. I thought his corner was great, threatening to leave after the 11th round and wish they had because I'm struggling to name a fighter worse than Ibragimov. I hear is brother is only slighty better so does that make his brother PATHETIC or HORRIBLE or what? Give me a break with this ****. And why didn't Brock even try to KO him? Everyone is saying it so I will too. Heavyweight division of 2002 and beyond = worst of all time.

Without a doubt, I picked the worst night ever to watch boxing with my girlfriend's dad, who is a casual viewer at best. Thanks for making a mockery of the sport, fellas.

That fight last night was a screwjob. I gave Urango 2 rounds. I honestly think this may be the biggest failure of all time. I haven't read anything but did the judges mix up the fighters or something? Were they told Urango was wearing black? Ben Rabah was robbed more than any fighter I've ever seen. I mean think about it. Teddy gave Urango 3 rounds. I gave him 2 and only wanted to give him one. Lewis-Holyfield is considered the worst decision ever or at least among them and I had that 9-3 Lewis, who got a draw. BUT BEN RABAH LOST A UNANIMOUS DECISION IN A FIGHT WHERE HE WON AT THE VERY MINIMUM 9 ROUNDS!!!! Boxing went to the pits at the end of this month! Hope July is better.

      Heavyweights do suck BALLS...

First, all these prospects get hyped, then when they have a BIG fight come up, they just blow up in weight and come in fat.

They have all these crappy belts that are all recognized by HBO that don't mean NOTHING!

How the **** can there be 4 ****ing champions!?
**** anyone that calls each one a champion. **** you hard, ***gots.

the ibrag's are distant cousins not brothers and sultan is a much more agressive and stronger fighter than timor. jury is still out on him though as well. but he doesnt have that safety first defensive style like his cous

The Quintana-Julio fight was a good one. Quintana showed that he's the better fighter.

that was a pathetic fight. Julio never landed more than 8 punches in one round I think they said. he is a terrible, terrible fighter, as one-dimensional as any I've ever seen. Quintana is not some boxing great for beating up on this kid.

Quintana is not good? I don't know what fight you saw, he has good defense, can box, can take a punch and has some power. It's not his fault you are trying to make a point that Julio is overrated, don't take credit for him just because you think Julio is a nobody. Quintana is capable of beating anyone at 147.

He has a good chin and is a good boxer, but he never had Julio in any serious trouble, so don't tell me he's some kind of elite fighter...yet. Let's see him against some real opponents at 147. The only thing I disliked about his performance was how he never came close to hurting Julio or knocking him out. ****, even Hopkins went for the kill against Trinidad, who is a REAL puncher, whose power has bailed him out before. I know Quintana is no Hopkins and Julio is no Trinidad, but I'm just pointing out that he should have at least tried to KO his overmatched opponent.
