Hopefully he remembers he needs to announce the fight to sell any tickets!

Jesus Christ, Kansas?!? What a boxing hotbed that is.
And the fact that nobody in here knows who Bogdan Dinu is (myself included) just shows how awful of a main event that will look to casuals.
Jesus, with cards like this it’s a good thing DAZN has the WBSSComment

I stated in another thread but he is only one month into a brand new venture. That really isn’t a bad start when you take that into consideration, he built up the expectation which is where people have the right to have a go.Hearns gonna get his plug pulled from DAZN owners of doesn’t pull in the subscribers, he’s banking on Canelo to help with that which is why he was in such a good mood!
AJ has no fans outside of the UK as he’s a boring personality, corny and has 1 memorable fight
While the rest were trash and with the Wilder fiasco his stock has been damaged!
I don’t see DAZN keeping Hearns around after 2020!
Having said that for $9.99 you now get , on boxing alone, WBSS, 32 matchroom card and 10 Golden Boys.
That includes the top heavyweight fighter amongst numerous fights within the division; the top cruiserweight fighter and obviously Canelo.
Then he has a few interesting fighters such as Anthony Sims jnr coming up for the future.
There is obviously room for improvement and I’ll judge him better after 12 months but there some fights which have been on , or scheduled of interest to me. $9.99 in my opinion is a bargain.
Joshua vs Povetkin
Usyk vs Bellew (10th Nov)
Those were/ two standouts so far for me but others coming up I’m interested in; and there is a hell of a lot more coming. Gives me s chance to see ally if fighters I wouldn’t otherwise have seen.
Zhang vs Ustinov
Canelo vs Fielding
Whyte vs Chisora2 (TBC)Comment

Nobody in America cares about WBSS. Nobody in America cares about Matchroom. Nobody in America cares about anybody Golden Boy has other than Canelo.
DAZN is going to live and die on how many people are willing to sign up year round for two Canelo fights. Lots of people are going to just sign up for Canelo and then cancel. So far, DAZN doesn't have a way to keep casual fans interested year round.Comment

With 32 cards a year from Matchroom alone not every single one is going to be great is it? You have to be realistic with expectations.
If you're a boxing fan with nothing better to do you might watch it. Will it attract DAZN subscribers on its own? Not many I'm sure, only the people with an interest in the fighters on the card.
But the thing is I'm sure the people in charge know that. They already said in the first couple of years they are only aiming for the boxing hardcore anyway.Comment

Correct. He's very talented, but was largely ignored by HBO and Showtime because he was trapped in a deal with a low level promoter nobody wanted to work with.
To put things in perspective, you AJ diehards go on and on about nobody knowing who Wilder is, Wilder not having any fans, etc etc.
Wilder has over a million followers on instagram, which is nothing compared to what AJ has, but for an American fighter, is a very impressive number.
Miller only has 50,000. Think about that for a second. AJ = 7.5 million. Wilder = 1 million. Miller = 50 thousand.
As far as average boxing fans are concerned in the US, Miller doesn't even exist.Comment
