I seldom use the word duck or robbery. Both terms are way over used.

If Canelo fights Fielding, then fights Jacobs/Derevy and fights Golovkin I do not consider that "ducking" Charlo.

If someone is facing an opponent who is on a comparable level and brings in more money I'm not going to go crying like you do that they are ducking an opponent.

That's why I said about 1 1/2 years ago that Charlo needs to try and get the best competition he can to make his name more well known. I think he is a very good fighter and I want to see him face better opposition. But fighting crap opposition and waiting for a Canelo or Golovkin fight to fall in his lap wasn't going to happen any time soon. That is proving to be true. You were too dumb to see that.

All the above is true. But he shouldn't be in this position. This isn't just something that popped up in the last three months. Maybe he legitimately couldn't get anyone to fight him but it doesn't feel like he has worked hard enough to get better opposition in the last two years.

Since 12/10/16 he has fought two times with the Monroe fight his third fight. Three fights in two years?? If you can't get any of the top guys go fight 4 times a year even if it is no names. Do whatever you need to create buzz. Fighting 2/3 times in 2 years isn't the way to do it.

My original comment was more crap boxing. This isn't just a problem with Charlo and this fight it is with all boxing. Too many crap fights and few good to great fights are being made. I can deal with a crap fight in between good to great fights. So while I think the Canelo-Fielding fight is crap at least Alvarez just had a great fight. I expect after the Fielding fight a good to great fight from him. If he throws out another crap fight I'll be vocal about it.

Same with Golovkin. I thought Murata and him was a crap fight but he just fought Canelo and I understood the money aspect of it. If Golovkin took another crap fight after Murata I would have said it was just that. Vanes fight was a ****e fight. Said so. What I said was it was important to see what he was doing next, and it turned out to be Canelo.

As a boxing fan I wish there were no crap fights but I understand the situation. I can live with it. What I do not like is seeing when guys, especially guys at the top, make crap fight after crap fight.

Charlo is a very good fighter, maybe even elite. But fighting two times in two years is on him and his promotion team. If he couldn't get Golovkin/Canelo, which was totally understandable given they are fighting each other, he should have been busting his butt getting other decent opposition or even just fighting more consistently. If you are going to fight crap because that is all you can get then fight 4-6 times a year. Create some fcking buzz.

Training for a fight alone can take 6 months if your out of shape.....I will pay to see

First off charlo wasn't gonna pull out of **** with Hugo the man barks as soon as he set in a fight. jacobs vs suleki was set on HBO and nobody pulls out of fights to set up a new one and u known it.
