WBC won't stand in the way of a third ggg fight or a unification. You know this. And the WBC didn't order any of those fights. PBC proposed those fights for sanctioning. Big difference.

And even if Jermall Charlo somehow got a shot at a vacant belt or promoted to full champ if Nelo vacates again he still wouldn't have anyone to fight lol. He would be in the exact same spot Crawford is with his welterweight title.

Charlo would be doing voluntary defenses against Sulecki and Centeno rematches. You know this. If he wants the big names and big purses then he gots to go to DAZN. They run 160 which is a fact
    No he wouldn't.

Jermall Charlo with a world title around his waste, even if elevated to one like Golovkin has been by the WBA and WBC, would still be a world champion.

Billy Joe Saunders needs a shot somewhere, the Derevyanchenko-Jacobs winner is likely heading to PBC with the loser coming as well, Hurd-Charlo is the next big fight at 154 and if Hurd wins, he's likely coming up for Jermall (throwing 154lbs wide open again), Rob Brant isn't going to just wait his 16 months for Canelo, the winner of The Contender will likely get a look, and don't know who else can emerge.

Fighting 2-3 times a year as WBC champion, Jermall Charlo will be just fine, continuing to build his legacy on Showtime and FOX.

Plus Devenkchko if he wins would unify with Canelo, the biggest fight out there for him which keeps Canelo with the wbc. Just like Canelo could do a third gggg fight in September and keep that belt on lock all year.

And even if somehow Canelo dropped the wbc and Charlo got it he still wouldn’t have anyone to fight. He would be in same position as Terence Crawford. He would have a belt and be fighting Sulecki and rematches against Centeno wasting a third year of his career.

DAZN got thst 160 on lock with Canelo Andrade Jacobs and maybe getting triple g. It’s on lock.
Lol, I'm gonna laugh my ass off when both Derevyanchenko and Jacobs head back to PBC after their fight and you lose your ****.

Derevyanchenko and Jacobs building their profiles more in Brooklyn, while Jermall Charlo keeps Houston on his back.

      • I'd like to bump a thread from before ggg vs monroe and look at all the posts trashing him for it, and see the same posters conveniently absent from this thread.

          • What happened to Charlo vs Sulecki? That wasnt great but it was ten times better than this.

            • They can’t step up the comp if the step ups don’t wanna step up and fight them...The WBC made Charlo the MANDATORY for GGG...Nelo is fighting in December so why couldn’t GGG step to Charlo?

Fury is past prime and still in fat camp, that fight would have happened a year from now if Al wanted to make the best fight, instead he just wants another easy opponent with a big reputation for Wilder to beat in order to hype Wilder's name before the Joshua fight, same script they used for Ortiz as well who also had a big reputation based on how he looked in his prime, but they waited until he was 40 to fight him. Mares has never been a top guy at 126, his average power abandoned him completely when he moved up from 118 to 122 and 126 especially.

As for "Eddie Sperm," why does it have to be one or the other? Jacobs-Deryvanchenko is a higher level fight than anything PBC has put on this year and probably in the history of the entire PBC, but besides that I agree with you, Hearn's fights so far suck too. But it sounds like they want to make Bivol-Beterbiev next year, that's a fight between two P4P caliber talents with high KO percentages both fighting off PPV, PBC has never done anything like that and neither has any other network like HBO or Showtime recently.

But, I wont give Hearn credit until it's made. For now it's just talk, and most the fights he makes suck. So as long as hes making mismatches, he is just as bad as Al, I agree! But that dont make Al good for the sport. Plus like I said Al has been making mostly mismatches for over a decade now. Hearn is just getting DAZN started. But if he makes as few good fights as Al does once it starts going, then he deserves the same criticism, and I personally have criticized PBC, Top Rank, GBP, K2, everybody. The only one consistently making good fights is Kathy Duva with Kovalev (agreed to Stevenson contract, agreed to fight Beterbiev, did fight Ward twice, Alvarez, Pascal when Stevenson wouldnt fight him, etc), but Im not a fan of Duva either for other reasons.

So they are all doing an awful job for the sport, but some have been doing it the worst, and for the longest, and that is Al Haymon. I remember how badly HBO Boxing went downhill once he took over, just one Berto mismatch after another. Remember when GRJ and Wilder were fighting TBAs every single fight? This has been going on forever with Haymon. So, so, so many mismatches, so few good fights, and even the good fights you mention aren't even that good, or what we wanted to see. Santa Cruz vs Mares? That was supposed to be Santa Cruz vs Rigo in both their primes, but the Al Haymon fighter who would have lost avoided the fight, just like we saw with GGG-Quillin and Quillin-Korobov, just like we saw with Kovalev-Stevenson (no clue who would have won but Kovalev was at least willing to find out, Stevenson was not) and so many other fights. GGG-Jacobs was delayed for years because Jacobs said he wasnt ready, again the Al Haymon fighter. Matthysse-Garcia took forever to make and then when Garcia elbowed his eye after losing the first 4 rounds and broke Matthysse's orbital, Al never made the rematch that fans were clamoring for so that we could get a true outcome to the fight. Garcia's dad later admitted the reason was that Garcia was pissing blood and deaf in one ear for weeks.

So I mean, I can understand not wanting to put Danny through that, completely, but as far as the sport is concerned, it created a situation where the guy who lost every round when both fighters were healthy, and still got beat up so badly by a tentative scared opponent fighting with a broken eye and messed up vision where he was scared to punch because his eye hurt him so much every time there was contact, and yet even in that state, Matthysse beat him up so badly that Danny was having all those problems after the fight, and yet this created a situation where the guy who got beat up by an injured fighter came out as the "winner," even though when both were healthy, he was clearly second best, and even when matthysse was injured for 2/3 of the fight, he still did way more damage because of his freakishly heavy hands.

So from the sporting perspective, that was one of the most necessary rematches to happen in recent memory, and yet it never happened, even after it took way too long to make the first fight in the first place. And that is typical with Al Haymon. Rematches only happen when the one he wanted to win loses the first fight, or if the first fight was a super easy win for him. But if the B-side gives the A-side a lot of trouble and makes it look like he would win the rematch if it wasn't for injury or corruption, then Al never makes the rematch. So how can you defend all that? It's awful for the sport.

                • Charlo going after those GGG and BJS leftovers, terrible matchup to kick off Fox show.
At least when GGG fought Monroe, he just won that ESPN tournament. Water is safe now for Charlo after GGG KOd Monroe and BJS dominated him as well. Funny how haters complained about GGG fighting Monroe but now making excuses for Charlo to justify to fight him

All of you guys criticize Crawford for staying at top rank if you were not biased you must do the same thing to charlo because he did not sign with Eddie Hearns. JUst look at Jermall Last three opponents.. PBC has nothing for him
Listen CHARLO'S want.no part of Andrade he called both of the out when he was at 154 and heard crickets. If Jermall went to DAZN and faced Andrade he would lose
